Today it has been 100 years since Tove Jansson (1914-2001) was born. Throughout her prolific and versatile career, Tove created art in all forms and for everyone to enjoy. She was a tremendously talented visual artist and illustrator, the writer of some of the most beloved books ever to come from Scandinavia, and a comic strip author with an extraordinary sense for political and social satire. She is also the reason we are making this film today – so here’s to Tove!
